I've only recently gone from PC to a MacBook Air and loving it. Im currently studying and need a program called Clinical Dictionary (in danish Klinisk Ordbog), which is in .iso-format Sadly, the installer only exist in .exe.
I then stumbled upon Crossover and been giving it a try. It all worked out and I was very excited, until I tried running the dictionary. "The program requires cd", it said. I don't understand, the .iso is mounted? How do I tell the clinical dictionary to refer to the mounted image?
If you installed the program in Crossover Mac, there won't be any iso. The program will be in your ~./Applications/CrossOver directory in the same manner as it would have been normally installed under Windows. The reason your dictionary program might be asking for the CD is because of copy protection. When you load some programs, they ask you to insert the CD to make sure that you really own the program. After it passes that check, you can usually eject the CD and continue using the program as you normally would. It sucks, but that's the way some software companies work, using antiquated copy protection techniques.
