This application uses hydrological equations and information about a watershed to determine hydrological variables such as time of concentration, peak flow, etc. It was developed by the National Resource Conservation Service using government funds. Though it's not a very precise calculator, it's an industry standard for use. Therefore, most engineers that work in hydrology (begrudgingly) have to make use of the program.
