Personal Ancestral File 5.x (PAF) Tips

Before you do anything else, you'll need to install Crossover (Mac or Linux, not Games), itself, on your computer.  Demos are available here:

To install PAF in Crossover, first download the appropriate PAF installer from their website:

Then, proceed to the following page:

and click on "Install via C4p".  Save the "Personal Ancestral File 5. (PAF).c4p" file to your computer.  This file tells Crossover how to install PAF.  Double click on this file to open it in Crossover.  Click on "open", if prompted, and then "load".  

This will open up Crossover's Install Software menu.  Click on "select an installer", and then "choose installer file", and browse to the installer for PAF that you downloaded at the first link, above.  With this file selected, click on "install".

Crossover will then create a new bottle, and download/install a few needed dependency packages prior to installing PAF.  When the PAF installation is done, you can close out of Crossover's Install Software menu. 

If you're using a Mac, you'll find your PAF launcher in Crossover's Programs menu.  If you're on a Linux machine, it'll be in the Windows Applications folder in your Applications menu.
