Sometimes when one selects an object like a note with either a single click or a double click (for selecting e.g. all the notes in a part) Igor gets unusable showing a selection ring around the object and the processing icon. In this case one has to restart Igor Engraver; merely closing the layout window does not help. After restarting Igor Engraver and trying to select again: begin with another note than the one selected when Igor became unusable.
