Ctrl+Alt+F1-F8 are the default keyboard shortcuts in Igor Engraver for inputting chromatically half-step raised notes, but since Linux systems have these shortcuts reserved for choosing console screens one has to edit the file defkeymap.kmap in /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty, in order to use them in Igor Engraver, by giving the console screens other shortcuts or by simply deleting the lines in question if you can do without the quick access to the console screens.
