You use Soundweb Designer to lay out the set of Soundweb units that will be used for a particular design, and to define the network connections between them. Within each unit, you define the audio processing objects that will be present in your system, and their interconnection.
Soundweb designer after completing a design and connecting objects together, will be used to create a GUI (Graphical User Interface) permitting to the end user (User) to access to all the controllers used or some part of the controllers.
The software itself did permit to design, the last part which will be tested soon is the mecanism used on the software to compile the code then get connected via RS-232 port and transmit the code to the Soundweb Units via RS-232....as every one knows Mac don't have any RS-232 port but newer PC lost this port and actually to emulate such Serial (RS-232 port) some solutions are available via USB or TCP/IP - > RS-232 type server.
So, the next step in order to declare Soundweb designer fully supported will have to test and validate the communication thru the unit connected on the RS-232...
