CrossOver 21.2.0
choosing first car
an open-source project celebrating the legacy of Need for Speed World, an open-world, massively multiplayer online racing game developed by Black Box Studio (later Quicklime Games) and published by Electronic Arts in 2010, whose official servers were maintained until shutdown in 2015.
The purpose of SoapboxRW is to build a server-side software package that can communicate with the last released version of NFSW, and provide the ability for fans to enjoy the game as they once did.
Soapbox uses none of the code developed by Black Box / Quicklime, and instead only relies on self-written Java code to communicate with the last version of NFSW released to the public, while not making any modifications to the client, with the end goal being seamless communication and, with the exception of premium or paid elements, the inability for players to tell the difference between Soapbox servers and the official servers through the game itself.
