It can be used for non-SAP purposes to depict the arrangement of any set of processes, link these with any set of user-defined components or solutions and produce a nice set of documents organizing all this in the context of the value chain of a company or industry.
Think of it as an outlining tool specifically designed to organize:
- processes
- components or solutions or services
- dialogs
- documents (as the formal bits of communication exchanged in the dialogs)
- If you do use SAP this is a very valuable tool to express the scope of a project and document client's expectations and special requirements.
