IBM® Rational® System Architect is an enterprise architecture tool, that you can use to visualize, analyze, and communicate all aspects of an enterprise architecture by applying industry-standard frameworks, notations, and methods. After you capture and understand an architecture, you can plan and implement its future improvements intelligently.
You can use Rational System Architect to create various diagrams to visualize and analyze enterprise architectures by using different layouts, presentations, and reports. All project information is stored in a multiple-user repository, and you can extend the product by using its underlying metamodel. Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications is built into the product so that you can customize Rational System Architect.
In December 2015 this product was sold UNICOM. The last release of IBM was 11.4.3.6.
