Project64, commonly referred to as PJ64, is a Nintendo64 emulator that was created in 2001. It uses a plugin system much like 1964. Some included plugins would be Jabo's graphical and sound plugins.
This emulator supports an array of games. It is often disputed as to which emulator's core is better, either 1964's or Project64's. It is also often agreed that the plugins that come with Project64 are much better, whilst the 1964 core is more stable. Mixing Project64's plugin's with 1964's core creates a very powerful emulator.
With the help of 3rd party plugins like Rice Video Project64 can load high resolution textures.
