Released in 1995, "The Web" was the first in what would become a series of four tables in the Pro Pinball line-up. In "The Web", you play the role of a cyberbiker dude who must complete five different missions before facing the evil ruler of The Web, the Dark Queen, for the final showdown on her orbiting space station. "The Web" was truly a breakthrough table of the time, introducing highly realistic physics and utilizing a pre-rendered 3D table that looks so good you'd think it was the real thing. Although the game is now beginning to show its age due to not being as well-refined as its successors in terms of graphics resolution or the general interface, "The Web" still stands out for giving you the feeling that you are in a hazy pool hall playing a real, used but well maintained pinball machine in the corner, and not in the comfort of your home office. It just looks and sounds THAT good!
