MyInfo 7.05 running in Manjaro Linux in Crossover 19.1
A totally new version of MyInfo, a free form personal organizer, note-taking application and personal information manager (PIM).
MyInfo offers a very convenient way to store vast array of research notes, articles, web-clippings in branched tree and sub-tree categories. Data can be searched through the tree-categories, through full-text search, and by assigning and searching tags or keyword to documents in the database. MyInfo is one of the very best in terms of its features and reliability.
2020 March. MyInfo 7.05 (build 6375) runs well in Manjaro Linux in Crossover 19.0.1. However, the size of the window cannot be adjusted.
To reposition the window on your screen, hold the ALT key and drag. For these reasons, I have removed 2 stars.
2020 June Update. MyInfo 7.06 (build 6466) functions and fixes critical problems with previous two builds which rendered MyInfo 7 inoperable in Crossover. The current build (6466) does function, but the software is slow, unresponsive, and has problems with the viewing window. The developer says this problem results from weaknesses in Crossover 19. Until these problems are resolved properly, I cannot recommend MyInfo 7 in Crossover for serious work. For these reasons, I have removed 3 stars.
2021 July Update: MyInfo 7.2 (built 7062) will run, but the software runs slowly, has problems with scrolling, but most seriously, the document viewing pane turns black or grey when the cursor is not in the viewing pane. The vendor reports the problem is owing to problems with Crossover's design.
2021 December 24. MyInfo 7 nearly flawlessly in Bottles (https://flathub.org/apps/detai...). Until this problem with Crossover is fixed, I cannot recommend MyInfo 7.2 for serious work in Crossover. Use the open source app Bottles instead in which MyInfo runs almost perfectly.
