This is mapping/route planning software from Microsoft. I believe it is very similar to Microsoft Streets and Trips 2004 for the US, however this is the UK version. I would hazard a guess that getting one working would fix the other, as looking at screenshots of Microsoft Streets and Trips 2004, it seems to be pretty much identical.
This is one area where Linux is sorely lacking, route planning software. I presume this is due to the prohibitive costs of the actual data, rather than the code itself.
