This is TomTom Home (version 1.5 build 106) running on CrossoverOffice Linux 7.0.0 on my EeePC 900 with Ubuntu.
It's installed (winxp bottle - defaults for unsupported apps) and launched. My Nokia E61i with TomTom Navigator 6 was already plugged into the PC as a USB storage disk... and TomTom Home immediately saw it and started updating its local cache of available things - which is the phase you see in the screenshot).
I have not tried TomTom HOME 2.0 as I don't have a TomTom GO or similar device. TomTom HOME 1.x is for TomTom Navigator 6 PDAs and phones... TomTom HOME 2.x is for TomTom native devices.
Will try that in a few weeks if I get to go to my parents house (they have a TomTom GO).
But... looking VERY hopeful!
