OmniPage 17 Media

Crossover Games 10.1.1
An OmniPage screen on starting the application after installation under CrossOver for Mac Professional 10.1.1 (Impersonator) on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) system. Whether useful work can be done (as before) using elements of the OmniPage suite remains to be tested, but installation was straightforward.

PDF Create! 5 is installed with OmniPage 17, and here, it's being used to create a PDF from a TIFF. That TIFF shows an OmniPage splash screen, and that's as far as get with OmniPage itself. However, I'm able to accomplish file conversions by using PDF Create! and the Batch Manager.

This screenshot doesn't show OmniPage, but rather the result of its work. The file was converted from a PDF and saved to RTF using OmniPage's Batch Manager (not the regular user interface). Here, the converted file has been opened (and edited for privacy) in Microsoft Word for Mac 2011. OCR is rarely error free, but here, each problem was due to handwritten content that was scanned. To avoid that, a blank form could have first been scanned and converted by OmniPage, then had the same information typed into the document, and since we've turned a paper document into an editable file, it's not too late to do that!

CrossOver 10.0.0
This shows OmniPage running using its Batch Manager, rather than the regular user interface. It looked for PDFs in a specified folder, and that dialog was OK'd. In this next dialog, a file name's been specified, and the converted PDF will be saved as an RTF file (which is what was specified) when the dialog's OK button is clicked.

CrossOver 10.0.0
This shows OmniPage running using its Batch Manager, rather than the regular user interface. It's looked for PDFs in a specified folder, and the one selected is previewed. Conversion will proceed when the dialog's OK button is clicked.
