I had an old Word97 bundle with other Microsoft products under a release entitle "Home Essentials". I decided to see if I could install it, having done as much as I can for the moment on my advocated software, Winmekmak. Although the installer was for a whole suite of different products, I was able to select Word97. Some font errors were noted, and the CrossOver window said that the installation failed, in fact it appears to have succeeded. It is listed as installed in a 98 bottle, it appears on the program menu, and from initial tests, it runs and prints normally. Here is a screen shot using the Lorem Ipsum text and some tables. This is on Mac X 10.5.1.
