macOS 10.7 (Lion)
CrossOver 11.2.0
It works fine .. actually quite well .. but you must use the crosstie link from here: com-codeweavers-crossover-crosstie:install?crosstie=http://www.codeweavers.com/bin/c4p/4225 then follow this tip to make it display anything at all: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=4225;tips=1 then remove the two folders in the registry here : Goto regedit as suggested previously, but delete these keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes as listed in this thread 2/3 of the way down : http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=4225;forum=1;msg=123137 this will prevent the crash that happens aprox 10 seconds after launch.. it then works quite well! few crashes and sometimes graphical anomalies .. its a shame that the crosstie can't/has not be made to apply these registry tricks for mac out of the box!

I did get IE8 working on my Mac (OSX 10.5.8) with the trick found on: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=16041 It took me some time to find the file specified (it's in ~/Library/Application Support/Crossover/Bottles/Internet Explorer 8.0/user.reg. Go to line 114 and add somewhere: "TabProcGrowth"=dword:00000000 (I did this on line 123). I do get messages the software crashes but it did not. I was abele to open a local file (as you can see on the screenshot).

The rest of the window never paints, and although some of the controls are responsive, no pages will attempt to load, and the application refuses to shut down when the close button is clicked.
