Autostitch has a very sparse GUI. This is a screenshot of Autostitch in the middle of processing and stitching together individual images into a panorama.
The options screen shows plenty of, well, options. In my use of the application so far, I have only ever changed the output size options. Once your options are selected and accepted, select "stitch" and then "start" from the main screen. You won't see anything neat but when it's done there will be a new file in the folder where all the pictures were which is the stitched image.
The opening window is fairly sparse. To proceed, go to "file" and select "open". In the next window select the files you want stitched together.
