I go to download an excel file from a website and it tries to open it. I cannot find the the file in any of my folders and I can't figure out how to change the setting where it downloads to a folder. Please help.

I go to download an excel file from a website and it tries to open it. I cannot find the the file in any of my folders and I can't figure out how to change the setting where it downloads to a folder. Please help.
In the upper right hand corner of your screen, there is a magnifying glass icon. If you click on this icon, it will bring up a search bar that you can use to search all of the files on your computer. Type in the name of the file you are looking for, and double click on the correct search result to open the file. You can then save the file to a different location.
