Football Manager 2008 follows FM07 in the successful Football Manager franchise of football manager simulation games.

The game is a played from the point of view of a manager- you can manage training, formation, tactics and positions; you can manage player and staff wages and contracts; order scout reports on players and many other things. Perhaps the only thing you cannot do is play the actual match! That's why it's Football Manager not FIFA.
