AquaNox is a futuristic submarine simulation shooter where players pilot specially equipped underwater vehicles as they embark on missions throughout the game. The game is played from a first-person perspective inside the water craft. Players are typically required to complete objectives such as destroying particular ground or 'air' based targets, protecting targets from attackers or diving into large dogfights when the storyline requires. The underwater piloting concept is an unusual one and makes for interesting gameplay. Players have a selection of subs and an arsenal of weaponry and upgrades to purchase as they progress through the game.
