RenderMonkey build...

Hi - I'm having enough graphics driver issues with OpenGL ES Emulation for RenderMonkey (AMD) under Parallels that I decided to evaluate CrossOver. So I'm a first time user. The install seems straight forward enough, but scant files are actually copied and the program can't find msxml on start up. I am running the latest CrossOver eval download under Snow Leopard. It is obviously an unsupported application, but the Crossover install provides very few options giving the impression that it's a pretty straightforward process. The file structure in the default winXp "bottle" for the application is sparse and directories are now individual files. Nothing like a regular installation. None of the required libraries/files have been copied over etc...Note that the Rendermonkey installs (correctly?) directx too. What am I doing wrong.

Can't enter a support ticket since I am still evaluating of course...

Thanks in advance, Patrice

So you are running the RenderMonkey installer, it pretends to succeed but most files are missing? If everything goes OK, you should get Mac Applications links for the Windows apps in the Applications/ directory in your home dir.

I don't know what sort of issues you had in parallels, but if RenderMonkey uses OpenGL it is pretty likely that you'll have similar issues in CrossOver. OpenGL is pretty much a 1:1 passthrough to OSX's opengl in both cases, and the OSX OpenGL drivers are pretty buggy.
