Hello,
I have Lord of the Rings Online running well, apart from requiring low detail mode and crashing on the loading screens.
My main reason for purchase was for playing this game in particular, and was wandering as official support has been hinted at being in the future for this game. Weather it would be appropriate to ask if I could maybe be a beta tester for this support when it comes about?
I'm quite an advanced Linux user with software development experiance... So am more then capable to submit adequate bug reports, and debug the processes sufficiently to be able to do so.
Plus, it's always nice to give something back to the community
We are always cheerful to have people kick around games for us to see how they are functioning. You can sign up to be an advocate for LOTRO if you would like and that will help us out plenty.
What are you running LOTRO on? If it is Linux, I was wondering if you would be willing to help me get mine running as well. LOTRO is the only piece of software holding me to MS. Thanks.
although the codeweavers entry is no up to date I think as the tips and tricks section does not mention the need of VC++ 2005 and VC++ 2005sp1, which you defenatly need since Moria.
I have looked at those sites. Thanks for the reminder about the WINE site, haven't looked at it for a while. I am pretty new to Linux, so I am having some trouble understanding some of the instructions when it comes to command line and making certain files executable. I think the people giving the overview are assuming that anyone reading the posts will understand how to accomplish what they suggest. I just need a little more explanation to grasp it better. Thanks again!
