I have the same concern. My interim solution was to purchase an activation key for Office 2016. Look around. You can usually find a valid license at very low cost. It works really well. Just remember to delete the Office 2016 bottle if you want to activate the license again on a fresh install of Linux.

Do you mean the activation key for 2016 works and lets you use 365, or are you using Office 2016?
I actually paid MS for 2016, butit never ran properly on crossover, crashed all the time.
Last version that worked was 2010
Very frustrated. Codeweavers used to be awesome, and very quick with support.
Now that I've paid for lifetime subscription, nothing ... they have my money, so just crickets with a major issue
Does this from the announcements last year just mean we can get it to install, just not atually use it -- which has been my experience
https://www.codeweavers.com/support/forums/announce/?t=24;msg=299331 For our Linux users, we have a couple of nice improvements for Office. New Office 365 installers now work, and we fixed crashes with PowerPoint 2016/365. Please note that it’s still the case that only the 32-bit online Office installers work.
After many attempts to get MS Office working (2016 was the best I discovered OnlyOffice, an open source free package that frankly is more stable than MS Office and does everything from Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF (incl Editing).
To replace Outlook, I use Evolution Mail which with the .pst plugin, accessed all my old Oultook mail / directories and saved them. I might also add the Evolution is stable unlike Outlook.
Just a suggestion.
