I’ve recently upgraded my system to macOS 15.0.1 (Sequoia) and started using Crossover 24.0.5. Since then, I’ve encountered consistent kernel panics with the following error:
panic(cpu 1 caller 0xfffffe0019064410): DCP PANIC - IOMFB int_handler_gated: failure: axi_rd_err [0x40300024]
This has been happening primarily with games like Dragon Quest XI S and Dragon Quest Monsters on Steam.
After some testing, I found that disabling D3DMetal and DXVK in Crossover settings prevents the kernel panics. However, the games run slower as a result. Additionally, I had to disable msynch to ensure stable performance without crashes.
While this solution helps prevent the kernel panic, it comes at the cost of reduced performance, but the games at least don’t crash anymore.
Everything worked perfectly on macOS 14 (Sonoma) with no crashes or performance issues.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with macOS 15.0.1 and Crossover? Any tips for improving performance without triggering kernel panics would be appreciated!
