First I get a an error message with a small empty square. I press ok on that and get the above message. Any fixes?

what was the name of the file that you were using?

I am trying to run Shadow of Mordor
I guess the first error box tries to signal some kind of error, and after pressing OK the game tries to open some help document - most likely a .pdf document. Opening unknown mime types is forwarded to the host operating system (Linux / OSX), but if the game manually checks if there's a handler for application/pdf it won't find any and probably complain. The real problem that prevents you from running the game is whatever causes the first error message. Unfortunately I have no idea what that could be ☹️ .
