Steam & DirectX 9.0 games not starting.

Hi !

I just installed Crossover 25 on my M4 MacBook Air and Steam works great , lots of games work , except for a few older DirectX 9.0 games , they crash on boot giving me that error that DirectX is not installed... , is there a solution in the works? , or workaround?

Let me know.

Greetings

Try running the Crosstie install for "DirectX for Modern Games" into the bottle where you have installed those games.

I'm having the same problem with M3 iMac. I'm trying to run Sengoku Dynasty and I'm getting the same message but for DirectX12. I have installed the DirectX for modern games already and restarted.

Try enabling D3DMetal in your bottle's Advanced Settings->Graphics dropdown menu. However, many DirectX 12 games require game-specific tweaks which only the Codeweavers team can perform. If D3DMetal doesn't work, submit a ticket for technical support: https://www.codeweavers.com/contact-us#support

Thank you for your help :) Unfortunately, the D3DMetal setting didn't help either. This is the exact message I am getting. "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument." Do you know how I would run it without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument? Some instructions would be so helpful.
