Trying to get A Way Out working online with friend

Good day,

Like the title says trying to play A way out with a friend online. The game runs fine but when it comes to trying to join/invite anyone the option isn't doing anything. I've tried downloading the EA app separately but it is showing that I'm offline. I think the issue is it's not even connecting to the EA servers at all. I downloaded the game via steam. It seems to open the EA app on its own in the background. Trying to look at the app doesn't prove useful, and even if I get it to open it shows I'm online but no friends are visible.

Looking to see if anyone knows any solutions.

Thanks

Hello,

The issue of EA showing you offline is known they are working on a fix. Here is what was posted on Discord from them about 8 - 10 hours after I submitted a ticker about it. I also received a response they are aware of and working on the issue :)

From Discord

"Meredith — Yesterday at 8:48 AM
Yeah, this was a recent EA App update. We have a bug filed already and we're looking into it."

I'm sure they'll post when it's fixed till then your EA won't show you online or do any or let connections to others be made.

Sorry for the bad news.

Well look at that, I appreciate the response!

Looking forward to seeing how that all fixed up as it has impacted other small issues as well I believe.

Good to hear, I'll just have to wait around then unfortunately.

Looks like it hasn't fixed the issues, have you gotten it to work by chance? Still seeing offline, and the invite button doesn't even work in game as of now.

Personally, I've not noticed it's not been fixed, but I don't play anything multiplayer, so it doesn't really matter to me. My advice is to submit a ticket about the issue and let them know users are still having problems.

I have been searching for the Discord you are talking about, but I have been unable to find it. Could you please share a link to it 😀
