Last year I downloaded Crossover 24.0 on a trial basis in order to be able to use an authoring program on my Macbook that unfortunately only runs under Windows. Under Windows, I can detach windows from the program and drag them to the second screen without any problems.
I also tried this under Crossover, which unfortunately did not work.
My question now is whether anyone has had the experience with Crossover 25 that a second screen is supported. If so, then I would buy Crossover to free up the resources that Windows takes up with over 30 GB. Crossover only needs about 10% of the resources. Windows on a Mac is not really an option for a Macian ;)
Best regards
Many years ago when I worked and had two screens (under Linux, Not Mac), I had to make sure that the Xinerama package was installed before CrossOver (a much older version) apps would use both of them. Maybe Macs have an analogous requirement?
I did a test. I run crossover from my laptop, connected to an external display. Started Crossover and then Steam, then grabbed Steam between displays and it works just fine.
