I was happily playing Street Fighter 5 on my Mac (MacBook Pro M4) on Crossover 24 with my PS5 controller connected by bluetooth, but the controller stopped working in Crossover 25 (same bottle).
When going to Game Controllers in the bottle Control planels, my controller is shown as "Connected" in the DirectInput section.
For the record, I reinstalled Street Fighter V in a new bottle created from CrossOver 25, and my controller works fine. It means that the upgrade from 24 to 25 "broke" something in my old bottle...
I have CrossOver 25 trial version. PS5 controller is not detected in any game. It works fine in Whisky. I considered buying CrossOver to get the latest Wine but it seems I'm sticking to Whisky for now.
Many games do not support wired Sony controllers on Windows, but they used to work through CrossOver Mac because Wine treated them as Xbox controllers. Starting with Wine 10/CrossOver 25, Sony controllers are now correctly detected, which means we are now better matching Windows behavior and advanced Sony controller features now work, but that also means that games that don't support Sony controllers on Windows no longer work on CrossOver either.
To get back to CrossOver 24 behavior, you can open the "Game Controllers" control panel on the right side of CrossOver and check the "Disable hidraw" option. You'll need to restart your bottle for the setting to take effect.
Steam input will allow you to connect almost any controller. I made work the Razer Kitsune connected by USB, but how the moderator says above, it was recognised as an Xbox controller, which meant I had to remap most of the buttons, but now works perfectly. The remapping was done on the steam input window
