My Crossover-24.0.5 cannot make new bottles on my M1 MacBook Pro. When I do so, it stays in "scanning" forever and won't let me install any software.
This also happens with the "kitchen sink" archive. Therefore, I assume that it is not to do with missing dependencies.
I found word on-line of problems when the Z: drive is not soft linked to the root of the Mac FS. I checked: that is not broken in these new bottles.
What do I need to do to fix it?
The OS is v14.2.1, BTW.

I'd try updating to the latest version of Sonoma. If that doesn't help, please enter a support ticket.

Agreed. I have finally got backed-up enough to risk the OS upgrade (long pause to acquire new back-up disc, or I'd have done it when I first posted) and am on 14.7.2. Crossover now makes and fills bottles as expected.
If any of you are still having problems when it comes to bottle scanning, it might be because of your antivirus. I had Malwarebytes quarantining files during Crossover installation and disabled that feature before clean reinstalling Crossover. It solved the problem and bottles are now ready to use.
