Automatically change resolution in full screen?

I'm running Crossover 24.0.5 on MacOS Sequoia 15.2. My main display is a 57" Ultra widescreen, 7680x2160 resolution. When I launch Diablo IV in full screen it wants to play at this resolution.

Normally I change the desktop resolution to something less demanding like 3840x1080 to get a better frame rate. Is there a way to have crossover automatically set the resolution when launching D4 in Full Screen and then change it back when exitin?

You choose the resolution in the game, i.e. Diablo IV and it should remember the settings the next time. Not sure what you mean by "it wants to". Doesn't the game remember the resolution from last time? What happens if you choose Windowed Fullscreen instead?

Sorry, you're right "it wants to" is not descriptive at all, and i'd be saying the same thing if someone said that to me.

When launching Diablo IV, and going into Display Options, I have 2 options availible, "windowed" and "windowed (fullscreen)". When windowed full screen is selected the display resolution setting is greyed out, it shows resolution set in the OS for the display, and can not be changed in game, . If i set it to windowed i can edit the resolution in game, however it's obviously a window. If i then maximize the window (selecting the green full screen button on the macos menu bar) it goes into the macos app full screen mode, but the game's resolution setting changes to the native display resolution.

So far the only way i've found to get a lower full screen resolution is to change my display resolution in macos prior to launching the game.

If it matters "monitor" is listed as "generic non-pnp monitor", is always greyed out, can not be changed in game.

This is my first time using crossover, so i'm not sure if this is expected behavior? a quirk of diablo iv? or if i am missing something.
