Is it normal that Steam starts up extremely slowly using crossover?

So I bought crossover recently but after installing steam using crossover It starts up extremely slowly everytime (something like 2 minutes). I am surprised because steam runs very fast and smoothly on a windows 11 on arm virtual machine I created using VMware Fusion with only 2 cores and 8gb of ram assigned . Is this normal? Isn't crossover supposed to be faster?
