Hey, I have installed just released Crossover 19 for Catlina and have been trying to install and use Flopzilla (really great and cheap Poker card ranges analyze app, alas only for Windows version) which was working really well previously on the previous MacOS versions as far as I know, but I can't use it for Catlina. Installation is not a problem, it's starting, but I get that message like above:

The same for FlopzillaPro which is the newest (beta) version of Flopzilla with multiple features added.

Any ideas about how to avoid/disable/fix that?

I have the same issue trying to install Sparx Enterprise Architect v10.x which according to your site is compatible.

I have run it on previous versions of Crossover on OSX about 4 years ago and recently reinstalled CrossOvers v13 on OSX Mojave.

This new install generated the following error message :
"Cannot open oreans.vxd driver . Make sure that oreans.vxd is not open by another program."

I then installed OSX Catalina thinking it could be an OSX issue. Same problem.
Have enabled non App Store apps in Systems Preferences and temporarily disabled AntiVirus software with no success.

We currently don't have an immediate fix for this issue as we are still trying to understand what is triggering this error. It seems seems to be a combination of MacOS and crossover.

• For Flopzilla it is apparent in crossover 19 on both Catalina and Mojave. However for users's on Mojave using crossover 18.5 the error is not evident.
• For EA 10, this is more tricky as it has not been tested since crossover 15. The error is not present on Mojave with crossover 17.5.1, 18.0 and 18.1 respectively.

As stated above we don't have an immediate solution for user's on Catalina. If possible a work around would be to install Mojave on a USB drive instead of reverting your OS.

Does anyone know the status on this? I am trying to install NinjaTrader 8 and I get the same oreans.vxd file lock issue. I have tried in both 18.1 and 19.0.1 and both have the same issue.

I've decided in my case to roll back to Mojave for now. I hope guys soon fix the issue, because maintaining Mojave may be problematic for the long run. Btw, virtual machines with Windows work much better on Mojave in my case, less lagish.

I am still having the issue. It was already reported almost a year ago. Any news on any fix?

There is no way to fix this issue in CrossOver 20. The solution to this particular issue on Catalina and later is contained in the transition of areas of wine to PE (specifically ntdll in this case). Since this transition to PE is currently ongoing, we have hope that a future version of CrossOver will resolve this bug.

We had hoped that changes in upstream Wine would allow this to work with CrossOver 21, but that was not the case :/ We found further problems, and while our developers have taken a look, they have not been able to find a solution yet.

I was really hoping that by now an upstream version on 32-on-64 would have landed that would have saved a lot of headaches and allowed things like this to be worked on.

Still no macOS builtbot support will lightly make this worse, Perl isn’t something I’m too savvy with so not like I can help much with that bar providing everything needed for compiling wine using osxcross so at least building could be tested.

Running Big Sur and facing this thing. Any solutions yet ?

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for this issue? I too am trying to run the application referred to by the OP with the same error message. (M1 Mac, MacOS 12.1)
