I’ve recently been experimenting with CrossOver Preview 24.0.5 on MacOS Sequoia 15.2 running on an M4 Max MBP. I’ve noticed that in this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S98DF0MZxcg), several Windows games show significantly better performance using DXMT translation instead of D3D Metal. It appears that this approach currently requires using CX Patcher to achieve the smoother results.
I’m wondering if anyone here knows when we might see DXMT translation support officially integrated into a future CrossOver Preview release. Is there a rough timeline on when we can expect to try it out without relying on manual patching?
It'll be soon! We've been busy testing, and we're working out some final details :)
