While I'm running into this specifically with Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, I have a feeling that the solution is not game-specific and probably just something that could be fixed via settings somewhere. Unfortunately, I'm not too technical when it comes to Windows/Wine/etc terms and would just be fumbling in the dark - hopefully someone can set me straight.
I have Steam running in a Win10 64-bit bottle with the following settings, and within that I installed the game.
Game actually runs just fine, however no matter how many times I try to change the resolution, it's always set to 1280x800.
I thought maybe setting the bottle to "High Resolution Mode" might do the trick, but that doesn't seem to have any noticeable effects. I have no idea what DXVK vs D3DMEtal, or ESync/MSync and all that stuff means nor if something in the Wine Configuration may help.
I just tested this game for the games database of supported software using 24.0.5. Everything checked out I've since upgraded to Previeww for the next version but the game still allows res changes. From 4k down. Please mirror my Steam bottle settings and make sure full screen is checked in your game settings.
OH apologies! I granted access and will fix the share status later I'm about to head to bed. Let me know in the next 30 if you can if you have access to them.
I do believe that was the problem 100% but I’m not an engineer just going off the vast library of games I have and test regularly for the steam bottle system :)
So glad it worked now go give the Cylons a fracking hard time!
Oh yeah, those toasters are gonna rue the day they messed with me! :)
Thanks again! 🙏
