The new update for rocket league causes it to freeze on M1 Mac's using Crossover 21.2.0. To fix the issue, go to settings, and the audio tab, and disable voice chat. This lets rocket league run again and allows you to play multiplayer without it freezing forever. For now this is the only solution, hopefully in the near future this will not be needed.
Great, might be worth trying the nightly builds as well to fix this
