Unfortunately, no, there is no workaround at this time.

FWIW I have another application, a Dark Age of Camelot freeshard called Celestius, whose original launcher works just fine but whose updated installer now throws this error. I've asked the devs why they require non-administrator and whether they can change that, but a workaround from Crossover would be just peachy.
I am having this issue as well with a program.
Apparently wine-staging had some patches for UAC which helped to work around this issue.
But I am unsure where that is currently at.
