This has been an old bug for quite some time. Has anyone figured out how to get Powerpoint 2010 to unmaximize? Pressing the restore button doesn't do it. Neither does the right-click on the menu bar. The Maximize check box is checked and I can't remove the checkmark. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I edit the registry somehow?
Disabling desktop effects did not help.
Unchecking "Allow windows manager to control the windows" had side effects (window always on foreground).
What works for me with Word, Excel and Powerpoint is:
Start System Settings
Select Window Behaviour
Select Window Rules
Click "New..." to create a new Window Rules
Enter the description
Window Class: Regular Expression. I use .\b(winword.exe|excel.exe|powerpnt.exe)\b.
Check "Match whole window class"
Check on tab "Size & Position"
Check "Full screen": value Forced, No
Check "Ignore Requested Geometry": value Forced, Yes
My answer is only valid if you use Crossober Office under Linux, and only if you use KDE. Systemsettings are the KDE system settings. If you use gnome or xfce or ..... it is not valid. I
You can go to the KDE system settings via your normal menu. In windows terms "start" > Configure desktop > etc. It has nothing to do with crossover office settings.
Oh, that system settings! Yes, I am running KDE. I thought you were talking about some Wine system settings some place. I'll take a look at that.
Thanks,
Mike
