Hello there!
I had an Intel Macbook Air, the slowest one with Core i3 CPU and Mafia (2002) ran more than fine.
Now I have M1 Macbook Air, I am able to play GTA V or My Summer Car with no issues, but this old 2002 DirectX game runs VERY, VERY, VERY poorly, framerate drops basically to single digits.
What can I do?
Doesn’t matter what I do, what settings I am trying to change, it’s always the same.
Any tips or help guys? Thank You in advance.
I have dozens of old games that run extremely slow and choppy on the Air M1 with Crossover. I dont know why. On my old MacBook from 2012 they run very smooth with CrossOver...
Examples:
Patrician 3 (2002, 2D isometric game)
The Guild 1 (2002, very simple 3D game)
The Guild 2 (2006, 3D game)
I guess I'll have to get Parallels after all. The number of old and new games that don't work on the M1 with the newest Version of CrossOver is just too big.
