CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hello...

I recently downloaded the trial for crossover games on my mac. I installed Rune (an old favorite) and it runs next to perfect. I've been playing single player but I wanted to start patching the retail version because I want to start playing online. However, when I try to install the patches, Xover games tell me the game is not installed in the specified default folder. Is there anyone else running into this problem? I'm not sure how handle this situation.

I am running into the same problem with Tribes 1. It installed beautifully, but when I want to run a patch, I can't get it to the directory. I will be watching your post for an answer. If I get an answer sooner, I'll let you know.

I think I found a solution. I read another thread and tried it and it worked for my Tribes 1 patch.

Take the .exe updater and try doing an unsupported application install of it against the bottle containing Starcraft and it might update the game.

This made enough sense to me to get the job done, hope it helps you
