Is an installer absolutely required to make a bottle using Crossover 22? For example, if I already have the program I want to run as a folder on my desktop, is it possible to just move or copy the folder into the bottle, no installer?

Hi Paul,
You can go to the "Bottle" menu and select "New Bottle" to create a new bottle then move the relevant files into it.
Best,
Meredith
Thank you Merideth. Could you please elaborate on the exact steps, including indicating to Crossover which executable in the folder to run?
Hi Paul,
Your new bottle will be located in ~/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles. You can move the files there, then use "Run Command" to locate the executable and even save it as a launcher.
Best,
Meredith
Thank you. The good news is that this works and the app starts up. The bad news is that it crashes almost immediately. Anywhere I can send a log to or...?
