CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hi guys,

I get a new macbook every year and this year i got a pro (about 4 months ago) and i buy Crossover to be able to play Championship Manager 01/02.

I cannot get it to work for love nor money on this Macbook. Ive never had this issue with CrossOver before and i know there was a issue with it on New Macbooks originally but has it been fixed? im due a update on CrossOver but i only use it for this game so does anyone know how long it will take?

I installed this in a new Win10 64-bit bottle and had DirectX errors with the default exe. I installed DirectX and no change, same error. If you run the game from a different exe via 'Run Command' it seems to play fine. Go to Run Command, navigate to Program Files(x86)\Championship Manager 01-02 and select 'cm0102_GDI.exe' it'll launch. For me, it launched with a good portion of the screen blacked out and the game running only in the top-left corner. In the game settings I changed to windowed mode and it was a much nicer time. After changing to Windowed mode you can now just run the game from the main exe in the crossover bottle.

For those who do not own a copy of the game there is a free demo version for download linked in wine's AppDB. I tried the latest development version of wine 8.2 and everything seems to work okay.
