Crossover games is a very good solution to playing windows games on a mac.
A lot of games which I have tried, run perfectly. But 9 games out of 10 have a similar problem: the right side of the game falls offscreen. It's about an inch or two. But it is really annoying, and sometimes the game isn't playable by this.
For each game I tried adjusting the resolution of the game, and the resolution of my mac. Both don't work.
I am running Mac Tiger 10.4.11, resolution: 1440x900,
I had a similar issue with LOTR online. Here is what i did to fix the issue: select your bottle, then Control Panel tab at the top. Click on wincfg and select "launch selected item". Click on the graphics tab. select "emulate virtual desktop". select a desktop size that is slightly smaller than your desktop. I was running my mac, like you, at 1440x900. I am using 1440x800 (I was losing the bottom of my game screen).
This will run your application in a windowed mode. Play around with the size. This helped me out.
