I am trying to install steam using the Crossover Games, but partway through the installation it says "folder path contains unknown files" and won't proceed any further. I tried to install steam off of the disk I bought it on, but I can't find the key I used, plus I doubt it would work even if I found it because I already used it to install it on my previous desktop.
I'm really just trying to play Team Fortress on the computer, but without steam I can't even get started. I already have a steam account, the only problem is installing it. Thanks for any help.
I've never seen this error message. Can you file a support ticket for this issue? I guess this will take a bit more debugging.
When you file the ticket, please include information like on which system you are on, Distribution / MacOS version, etc.
