Heat -

I have a new 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB Aluminum Apple(four months old), I can program and deal with video editing without a issue. But when I play GW may laptop gets so hot underneath(the internal fans start really kicking offO, i need to close GW for 30 minutes so the laptop can cool down. Is there a problem with my laptop, or is GW really working my laptop,

any thoughts!!

David

The Aluminum models just get extremely hot.. Games in general work your machine way harder and for a longer duration then common tasks. Its normal.

My Unibody MBP actually hits 105C before the fans really start to kick in.. Talk about melting skin.

wooh!, okay as most processors operate around 20c - 90c, is this not a worry when playing games?

Although scary, 105C is still within operating temperature range of the chips.

Apple has been under a lot of pressure on their forums about temperatures, but they keep saying its safe and normal. Just make sure you have your machine on a flat well ventilated area when playing games. I use an aluminum stand.

…and it wouldn't hurt to make sure you have apple care…
