World of Tanks on Crossover 22

Hello all!

I've been avidly playing World of Tanks for about a year now, using the official wrapper, but I was a bit frustrated with the perfomance, even on M1 Max MacBook Pro.

I found recently a solution on Reddit to get it to work on Crossover 22, so I got the trial version, tested it and finally bought the full version.

It works. Mostly. On the plus side, it allows for a much higher quality (1920x1080, high quality, 80-90 fps). There are however a few issues. Some are minor, like visual glitches when starting the game (scintillating grass, visual artefacts). Others are a bit more annoying, like the fact that accessing some of the in-game tabs that link to online content (such as Shop, Clans, etc.) return an empty screen.

Does anybody have an idea as to why this would happen? A setting to change somewhere? I'd file a ticket, but I have the feeling that, since it's an unsupported solution, it may not be taken up by support. Apologies if I am wrong here.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hey, yeah you can disable browser hardware acceleration in the graphics settings for menus to work. Technically WOT is a website.

I think weed is flickering and after an hour of gameplay game stutters every few seconds due to old DXVK version in the official bottle of WOT. I havent figured out how to upgrade it though.
