I have recently bought a game that I am aiming to mod it but the mod installer requires me to manually select the .exe file of the app and I cannot find it anywhere in finder.

Hi John,
First off, I want to mention that mods are not officially supported on CrossOver, and we don't do any development in that area.
That said, some mods just happen to work, and maybe that will be the case for you. Your game executable will be in the c: drive of your bottle (just like on Windows): navigate to drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common then the game-specific directory, and the .exe should be somewhere in there.
Best,
Meredith
Thanks for clarifying this. I had tried some mods and didn’t understand why they weren’t working. Now I do understand.
The bottle path is "/Users/YourName/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles", where "Library" is a hidden folder. You can change that by entering "chflags nohidden ~/Library" in a terminal window.
