Silkroad Online has loads of issues!

Greetings,

I'm currently running CrossOver Games 7.2.2 - playing Silkroad Online and I had lots of issue with mine. Here is my problems and I hope there will be solutions for this as it is ranked as 'Gold' in the list.

Screen glitches;
In 'High' detail mode, the screen glitches - like the water and landscape so I had to set it at 'Medium' and it runs fine. The first time I logged on, the landscape looks totally fine.

After playing for an hour, the screen goes pitch black so I had to quit CrossOver Games and restart it. This time, I logged on and found out that the landscape are all glitched.. certain parts of the ground are completely shiny and distorted or sometimes the whole ground can be pitch black. What's worse - the third time I logged on I can see all colours flying around the screen - couldn't see a single thing!

Equipping items causes the screen to blink or flash and after that it made the ground and landscape look awfully weird - shiny and distorted as mentioned above.

Also, whenever I'm invited into a party and when that party menu pops up - the screen will start flashing a lot and then the game crashes and froze my whole mac for some reason..

Please help me with these issue - thanks in advanced.

Hi,

First up, you'll probably do better posting this stuff on the
actual game's forum ;

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=3350;forum=1

Have a read there -- note, without mentioning your OS/platform & video
card specs, it's near impossible for anyone to help (;

(yes, I see you're on mac but that's not enough ;)

Cheers

Oh sorry I'm new to the forums.. my video card is NVIDIA GeForce 9400, 20inch iMac 2.66 GHz - 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3.

That's okay, no problem....here's what you should do ;

click on that link I gave you above

click on 'new thread' and cut&paste what you've typed here (including machine/OS specs) into the new thread

click on 'Post Comment' when you're finished

The reason for this? Not all advocates actually 'listen' to all forums - some
of them choose to only receive forum posts from the applications they actually
use/feel responsible for, and so questions related to a 'specific' title (Silkroad)
can easily get missed/overlooked in this 'general' forum....plus, it keeps all
title specific questions in the one place of course, so for instance your issues
and possible resolves are in the one spot for future Silkroad users to gain help from.
Makes sense, huh? FYI, although I'm a linux user, what you describe sounds very familiar
to other Mac centric tweaks with other game titles.....but post in the 'right' place first,
so such knowledge gets 'seeded' into the Silkroad Online's compatibility database entry.

"It's good for you", he said assuredly (-;

Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
