CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hi,
I purchased the MacSale bundle and received a serial key for crossover games. Where do I use this? I downloaded the trial (which appears to be the only download available) but the registration screen is asking for my email and a password. I tried the serial but it did not work. Did I need to leave out the hyphens?

Hi,

Have you created a login account on this (codeweavers) site? I think
you need to do that first, because most of us register our crossover
using the same email/password as we use to login here. If this is not
the right answer here, you should send an email to info@codeweavers.com
and they'll sort it for you. In the meantime, the demo version is
the full version, just time limited -- so you can start using that
right away, someone from codeweavers should get back to well before
the 7day time limit runs out....

Did you get an email from MacSale with your Serial Code? The email should have stated you enter the serial code into this web address:

http://register.codeweavers.com/

When you do that, that adds an entitlement to your login account that allows you to unlock the trial version with your website username and password.

If that was never mentioned, let me know so I can correct the issue for future MacSale purchases.

Thanks Jeremy - that was the vital information missing. I did have the serial but did not know what to do with it. Only crit I had in the rego process was that the registration dialogue said it was contacting codeweavers but failed to quit - looked like it was still contacting with a busy symbol. I forced quit Crossover Games and restarted and it appears to be registered.
